Acne

A very common skin condition affecting 15-20 % of people specially youngsters. Acne is caused by clogged sebaceous gland and excess production of male hormone androgen ,then infection. It commonly affects face and chest , back . Acne may be seen as white heads, black heads, nodules, scars and dark pigmentation. Acne can be prevented by frequent face wash, avoiding greasy makeup, junk food, oily foods, over exposure to sun. Drinking plenty of water, increase in vegetable and fibre diet and avoiding stress may also help reduce in acne.

Hair

Your scalp normally contains 100,000 hairs. Hair loss is a common problem in both male and female. While hair loss is often thought of as a man's problem, at least a third of women will experience thinning hair at some point in their lives. Common causes for hair loss are improper diet, generalised weakness, chronic illness, emotional stress, cancer, hormonal changes like in thyroid disease, puberty, pregnancy and menopause. Most of the time hair loss is temporary and can be prevented and treated by taking proper treatment well in time.

Dermatitis

Dermatitis is skin inflammation(allergic reaction)commonly known as eczema. It is a condition when skin looks dry, swollen and at times oozy associated with mild to severe itch. Common dermatitis are atopic dermatitis, sebohorric dermatitis, contact dermatitis, dishydrotic dermatitis, neurodermatitis. Dermatitis is more commonly seen in patient with family history of allergy and asthama.Skin patch test and biopsy at times is helpful for diagnosis. Dermatitis can be prevented by avoiding excessive contact with soap, detergents and solvents.

Nail

Just like the skin, the fingernails tell a lot about your health.Nail diseases can be due to to bacterial or fungal infection and secondary to systemic disorders.Nail discolouration maybe alarming as example blue discolouration maybe due to to poor blood supply as in in cardiac disorder. Brittle nail are due to overexposure to soap, detergent, nail polish and nail polish removal.Pitted nail is commonly seen in psoriasis, white spots in nail maybe due to to some nail injury.

Vitiligo

Vitiligo is an autoimmune skin disease in which there is loss of skin colour. It occurs due to loss of functioning of pigment producing cells called melanocytes which produces melanin. It is not a contagious disease and more commonly seen in person with family history of vitiligo. Vitiligo can affect any part of the body, and it can occur in people of any age.Ali Skin Care Clinic is known for helping patients of vitiligo by performing surgery along with conservative treatment.

Warts

It is a small growth on Skin which can appear anywhere on the body, commonly seen on finger, near finger nails, on hands, face and scalp. It is caused by human papilloma virus (HPV).The virus usually spreads through breaks in your skin. It can also be seen on genitals commonly known as genital warts. Warts can also spread by casual skin contact or through shared objects such as towels. It can be removed by the help of Electrosurgery, Laser treatment and cryotherapy.
